I have lived in Evanston IL since 1979. During that time the town has changed so much. At one time there
was not much going on and you went to Chicago if you wanted a meal or

Condos For Sale In Downtown Evanston IL
So many people want to live in condos near or in downtown Evanston IL. With public transportation very accessible and so many great choices of dining, live entertainment and interesting stores attracts people to move to the downtown area. There was a time about 15 years ago when nothing was happening in downtown Evanston and it was really a dead scene. So many new high rise buildings have been constructed and Northwestern University has expanded. This has driven people to the center of town.
Some of the most popular buildings in Downtown Evanston are the Optima Properties. There are three buildings in town, the Optima Horizons at 800 Elgin this most popular building and steps from Northwestern University, the Optima Views at 1720 Maple also close to NU and right across the street from the Century 12 movie Theaters. lastly the Optima Towers at 1580 Sherman in such a great location at the corner of Sherman and Davis.
We should also mention the Sherman Plaza at 807 Davis considered one of the nicest high rise condo buildings with all the amenities anyone would want. A full time door person, LA Fitness in the same building, attached garage and a full range of floor plans.
If you choose to live a few blocks south such as the Main street area of town you would probably love the 515 main building and the 900 Chicago building. Main street has many great business and also access to public transportation.
