About 15 or 20 years ago these properties were all bought up and turned into condominiums. Since that time the values have gone up and some people insist on an address on Rogers Parks East Lake Terrace. Today I went for a walk through this neighborhood because it was a perfect day. At 70 degrees and with a slight breeze on this Sunday many people were walking around, boating, jogging and enjoying the day. We ran into a man strumming a guitar and really enjoying himself. He was not playing for bucks as one might think, he was enjoying the day. At the moment we sat on the next park bench to the south of this man a woman walked by and started singing with this musician. He did not know her because we walked up and talked to him afterward. They sung and played Van Morrison "Into The Mystic" This was a surreal moment that I really enjoyed. You had to be there but this is really a pleasant situation.
