Don't tell anyone I how old I am. This village is a quiet bedroom community where everyone knows your name.

Wilmette has really done a fine job of adding a whole slew of great restaurants and stores in the downtown area and I have tried them all. We can talk about reviews later but I will say this, you won't be disappointed. After your meal you may want to walk to Gilson Park Beach where there is a huge lakefront park with a boat launch and sailing beach. The park is very nice and you can picnic or just go for a long walk enjoying the lake breeze. I was there for the fourth of July and really enjoyed the Wilmette Fireworks show 2015. Can you tell I am very enthusiastic about Wilmette IL? Call and I can tell you why I love Wilmette.
Lastly The public transportation in Wilmette IL is just wonderful. You can hop on the Metra from right at downtown Wilmette and end up in downtown Chicago in 25 minutes. The "EL" is at 4th and Linden and will get you to downtown Chicago in about 30 minutes and all points in between faster than you can drive.
