Wilmette has really done a fine job of adding a whole slew of great restaurants and stores in the downtown area and I have tried them all. We can talk about reviews later but I will say this, you won't be disappointed. After your meal you may want to walk to Gilson Park Beach where there is a huge lakefront park with a boat launch and sailing beach. The park is very nice and you can picnic or just go for a long walk enjoying the lake breeze. I was there for the fourth of July and really enjoyed the Wilmette Fireworks show 2015.
